Due to scheduling conflicts and snafus Don and John absent
Discussed Ken and Steve's techno production stuff. Played
"Diamond Girl" and "Secret Asian Man".
Listened to "Hang 'Em High" for bridge chord progression. Donstrocity
was correct in that the final chord is a B9. Steve was correct that
the preceeding chord is Bsus4 (or F#m7). The two chords are related
because F# is the V of B. The root (base) notes can be F#-B or B-B as
long as the final root (base) note is B. B is the
V which resolves back to E. B9 can be played as an B/F#m, i.e. F# minor
with a B in the bottom. There are inversions of course. The important
thing is to get the B in the base so the chord is a B (V) type chord.
B9 is B, D#, F#, A (F# 3m, B 7m), C# (F# 5, B 9). The first chord can also
be played with the so called diminished 5th, C, rather than C#.
Ran through "Hang 'Em High" and "Mrs. Robinson"
